Becky and Zoe
Greetings & Welcome! I'm Becky Federico and I specialize in whimsical hand painted & original Cat & Poodle Cigar Box Purses (since 2003), Treasure Boxes, Music Boxes, Trinket Boxes, and beaded & hand painted Pendants. Inspired by vintage Halloween collectibles, Victorian antiques, my own funky style, and vivid imagination, the cat is celebrated by appearing on my Halloween folk art whimsy and Victorian-style Gothic art creations.
Mediums used include acrylics on wood & canvas, oils, vintage & antique papers, new papers, Dresden paper trim, vintage costume jewelry scraps, vintage buttons, vintage lace, and more. Not all pieces are decoupage, but all are hand painted.
I studied oil paintings under Homer Spurlock of California back in the late 1980’s, learning how to paint realism in the old masters’ style. In regards to acrylics and other mediums, I am self-taught.
